Terms of Service

1. Service description

The Online Store Audit ("the Tool") is an online service provided by Cifre și Litere SRL that automatically analyzes online stores built on the Shopify platform, evaluating performance, SEO, installed apps, theme, and inventory.

The Tool is currently in beta. Features, availability, and accuracy may vary and change without prior notice.

2. Operation and analyzed data

The Tool only accesses publicly available information from the analyzed Shopify stores, including:

  • The HTML source code of the main page (accessible to anyone via browser)
  • Public files: sitemap.xml, robots.txt, products.json
  • Performance metrics via Google PageSpeed Insights API
  • Publicly loaded scripts and resources on the page

We do not access the admin panel, customer data, orders, financial information, or any private data of the analyzed store.

3. Permitted use

The Tool can be used for free, without authentication. It is intended for online store owners, digital marketing agents, and web developers for evaluating and optimizing Shopify stores.

Use of the Tool is not permitted for:

  • Automated attacks or service abuse (excessive rate limiting)
  • Harassment or defamation of store owners based on results
  • Presenting results as certified professional audits
  • Reselling or redistributing the service without written agreement

4. Accuracy of results

The Tool is in beta. Analysis results are automatically generated based on available public data and may contain inaccuracies.

In particular:

  • App detection is based on pattern matching in the public source code. Some apps may not be detected, and others may be incorrectly identified.
  • Shopify plan detection (Basic, Shopify, Advanced, Plus) is an estimate and may be inaccurate.
  • Performance scores come from Google PageSpeed Insights API and may vary between successive analyses.
  • The overall score is an indicative metric calculated based on an internal formula and does not represent an industry standard.

5. Limitation of liability

Analyses and recommendations generated are indicative and do not constitute professional web development, SEO, or e-commerce advice.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of results. Technical or business decisions based on these analyses are entirely your responsibility.

The service is provided "as is" without express or implied warranties. Cifre și Litere SRL is not liable for direct or indirect losses resulting from the use of the Tool.

6. Data storage

For authenticated users, analysis results may be saved in our database to enable history and comparison over time. Stored data includes: analyzed URL, scores, detected theme, number of apps, and number of products.

We do not store the complete source code of analyzed stores. Data can be deleted upon request by contacting us.

7. Third-party services

The Tool uses the following third-party services:

  • Google PageSpeed Insights API — for performance analysis (Core Web Vitals)
  • Firebase / Google Cloud — for hosting and execution of analysis functions

Use of these services is governed by the respective providers' own terms and policies.

8. Availability

We do not guarantee continuous service availability. The Tool may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or technical reasons without prior notice.

As a beta product, we reserve the right to substantially modify or discontinue the service at any time.

9. Intellectual property

The interface, design, code, detection algorithms, and branding of the Tool are the property of Cifre și Litere SRL. Analysis results may be freely used by you for your own purposes, including commercial ones.

10. Privacy

The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy of cifresilitere.eu. By using the Tool, you confirm that you have read and accepted this policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any dispute shall be resolved by the competent courts in Iași, Romania.

12. Changes

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of the Tool after publication of changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
